Chile se Afianza como Destino Turístico de Primer Orden en Fitur 2025: Programa Internacional de Eventos

Chile takes center stage at FITUR 2025

Chile has officially kicked off its participation in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2025, taking place in Madrid from January 22 to 26. This event serves as a key platform for the promotion of tourist destinations, and this time around, the South American country seeks to showcase its diverse tourism offer through a stand located in pavilion number 3, where a ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Chile’s Deputy Minister of Tourism, Verónica Pardo, and Javier Velasco, Chile’s Ambassador to Spain.

Over the course of the four-day fair, Chile will present the main attractions of its five macrozones: the Atacama Desert in the north, the central valleys with their wine tourism, the southern region full of lakes and volcanoes, the majestic Patagonia, and the enigmatic Rapa Nui. Pardo highlighted the significant growth of tourism in the country, with over 5 million foreign visitors in 2024, representing a 40.4% increase compared to the previous year.

The Deputy Minister also mentioned the importance of the European market for Chile, where long-distance tourists are essential not only for the time and money they invest but also for their ability to promote cultural exchange. In this sense, the country has embraced sustainable tourism that benefits both ecosystems and local communities.

Throughout 2025, Chile aims to consolidate itself as an international tourism hub, as it will host important events such as the annual summit of the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) and the first Gastronomic Forum for the Americas organized by UN Tourism. These gatherings aim to promote best practices in the sector and attract thousands of visitors.

As it prepares for these activities, Chile has also stood out in the World Travel Awards, where it was recognized as the most comprehensive tourist destination in Latin America. With an acknowledgment of its diverse geography, ranging from natural landscapes to initiatives in gastronomic tourism, the country continues to position itself as an attractive destination for travelers from around the world.

European visitors interested in traveling to Chile can access a variety of air connections and do not require a visa for stays of up to 90 days. Furthermore, Chile offers a rich cultural and natural experience throughout the year, thanks to its diverse geography that includes beaches, mountains, forests, and deserts.

In conclusion, Chile’s presence at FITUR 2025 underscores its commitment to promoting its tourism offer on the international stage and attracting visitors from all corners of the globe. With its stunning landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and commitment to sustainable tourism, Chile continues to captivate and enchant travelers seeking unforgettable experiences.
